Faye has lived in the Richmond area for most of her life. Her career has been in banking, state government, and real estate. She has sold, renovated, rented and developed properties. Her current development project is the Richmond Hostel International richmondhostel.org.

Faye says she got into hostelling by accident. Even so, she has taken the lead to bring hostelling to Richmond . She stayed in hostels traveling throughout Europe and knows the importance of having reasonable overnight accommodations, making it affordable to travel. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Richmond Hostel International Committee working closely with the Potomac Area Council of Hostelling.

Faye lives in Richmond 's West End and is familiar with property all over Richmond and the surrounding counties. She is familiar with historical tax credits, zoning, and planning. She works with architects, planners, designers, boards and the media to get the job done.
